Ingredients :
6 large potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced; 1 cup chopped onion; 1 cup chopped ham or bacon;
1/4 cup butter; 1/3 cup flour; 2 1/3 cups chicken broth; 2 1/2 Tbsp mayonnaise;
3 clove garlic, minced; 1 tsp salt; 1/2 tsp dried parsley; freshly ground black pepper
Directions :
Preheat oven to 325F. In a greased baking dish layer potato slices, chopped onion and ham.
Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat, stir in the flour and cook until smooth. Remove
from heat, add mayonnaise then the chicken broth gradually, stirring at the same time. Add the
seasoning, garlic and parsley, return to the heat and cook until it turns thick and bubbly. Pour
evenly over the potatoes. Cover the baking dish with tin foil and bake in the oven for about
1 1/2 hours or until the potatoes softened. Remove the foil, turn the oven to broill and bake
until the the top turns golden brown.
